Double-sided inserts for automatic lathes. The new double-sided design allows both edges to be used, providing higher economic efficiency and more stability.

In this test, the KYOCERA double-sided insert shows a 50 percent increase in parts machined per edge, achieving up to three times better tool life per insert versus a conventional positive insert.

A new toolholder exclusively designed for the small negative inserts allows the customer to use any location in the tool post without restriction. A minus-only tolerance is used for the corner-radius limit of G-class inserts, providing high-precision machining.

Small double-sided inserts for automatic lathes improve our customers’ productivity with economic efficiency and stability.
